Spherical Vessels

High-quality spherical glass vessels for various applications.

Spherical Vessel Overview

Goel Equipments fabricates **glass spherical vessels** (also called spherical jars) intended for industrial and process-plant use. These vessels are constructed in borosilicate / scientific glass and are dimensioned to handle reactor, receiver, separator, measuring or feed roles within plant systems. Typical nominal capacities include 5 L, 20 L, 200 L, and beyond. The spherical geometry offers inherent strength under internal pressure (or vacuum) and uniform stress distribution. Additional nozzles (e.g. at the equator) and dip pipes can be integrated per requirement to adapt for specialized process flows. In applications where glass transparency, chemical inertness, and process integrity are essential, these vessels provide a reliable solution. Custom modifications (neck size, number of ports, wall thickness) can be accommodated upon request.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate glass 3.3 construction
  • Spherical design for optimal mixing
  • Various sizes available
  • Chemical resistant

Specifications

Key specifications and options for Goel’s spherical vessels include:

– **Capacities**: Commonly 5 L, 20 L, 200 L (or custom)

– **Material**: Borosilicate glass (scientific / process glass)

– **Nozzles / ports**: Additional equatorial nozzles on request

– **Dip pipe**: Optionally provided from top neck to interior

– **Support / mounting**: Vessel supports / holders to carry the glass structure under load

– **Operating conditions**: Vacuum to moderate pressure (design per customer process)

– **Customization**: Based on drawings/photos, custom wall thickness, flanged necks, multiport configuration

– **Safety & integrity**: Designed to resist thermal and mechanical stress according to good glass engineering practices

Applications

Glass spherical vessels are suitable where controlled reaction, separation, or containment with visual inspection is important. Typical uses include:

– Gas–liquid or vapor–liquid separation stages (droplet or mist removal)

– Circulatory boiler systems where uniform distribution and support are needed

– Feed or receiver vessels within pilot or scale-up glass process trains

– Units requiring integration of dip pipes, internal spargers, or multiple nozzles

– Systems under vacuum or mild positive pressure, where glass containment is acceptable

– Any process requiring inert, corrosion-resistant containment with optical access to interior reaction media
