Glass packing supports for column packing materials.
Packing supports are essential components in glass column systems, designed to hold packings securely in place during operations. They ensure mechanical stability, prevent damage to packing material, and maintain efficiency in distillation, absorption, and extraction processes.
Two main types are available:
• Type A (standard) supports, made of fused glass rods, suitable for light to medium-duty operations.
• Type B (heavy duty) supports, made of vertically arranged glass plates tied with PTFE rods, designed for higher loads and larger diameters.
Additional accessories include PTFE perforated plates, which act as packing retainers to prevent lifting due to vapor velocity, and support plate assemblies, which integrate with pipe sections to allow greater flexibility, higher packing heights, and shorter delivery times compared to conventional systems. These assemblies combine glass, PTFE, and metal components to provide reliable, durable solutions for industrial and laboratory applications.

Used as packing retainers to prevent lifting due to vapor velocity. Can be clamped between components without gaskets.
