Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger
Our heat exchangers are designed to efficiently transfer heat between two fluid streams, often at different temperatures. By doing so, they can help maintain optimal operating conditions for process equipment and reduce energy consumption.

HEAT EXCHANGERS

Glass Heat Exchangers, Heat Transfer Solution by Goel Scientific

Available in a range of sizes and materials, our heat exchangers are used across a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, food & beverage and oil & gas.

Heat exchangers can be used for a variety of applications, such as heating or cooling process fluids, preheating or cooling air before it enters an industrial furnace, or condensing steam. Depending on the application, they can be designed with multiple passes to increase efficiency or with special features such as removable bundles to facilitate cleaning.

Goel Scientific offers a wide range of heat exchangers that are suitable for use in many industries. Our team of engineers can custom design a heat exchanger to meet your specific needs and requirements. Contact us today to learn more about our products and services.

Heat exchangers are devices that transfer heat between two or more fluids. The fluids can be either liquids or gases, and they are typically at different temperatures. Heat exchangers are used in a variety of industries and applications, such as heating or cooling process fluids, preheating or cooling air before it enters an industrial furnace, or condensing steam.

There are many different types of heat exchangers available on the market today. Some common types include plate and shell heat exchangers, tube and shell heat exchangers, and double pipe heat exchangers. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages that should be considered when selecting a heat exchanger for a particular application.

Plate and shell heat exchangers are often used in higher-pressure applications due to their strength and durability. They consist of a series of plates that are mounted inside a shell. fluid is circulated through the plates, and heat is transferred from one fluid to the other through the plate walls.

Shell and Tube heat exchangers are similar to plate and shell heat exchangers, but they use tubes instead of plates to separate the two fluids. These units are more compact than plate and shell units, making them ideal for use in space-limited applications.  However, they are not as durable as plate and shell units and can be damaged if not properly maintained.

Double pipe heat exchangers consist of two concentric pipes with one fluid flowing through each pipe.

Heat is transferred from one fluid to the other through the wall of the inner pipe. Double pipe units have a simple design that makes them easy to operate and maintain.

Advantages of Glass Heat Exchangers

  • There are many advantages to using glass heat exchangers. One advantage is that they are very strong and durable.
  • This makes them ideal for use in high-pressure applications. Another advantage of glass heat exchangers is that they are very efficient at transferring heat between two fluid streams.
  •  This can help reduce energy consumption and maintain optimal operating conditions for process equipment.
  • Additionally, glass heat exchangers are easy to operate and maintain.

Borosilicate Glass Heat Exchangers

The overall heat transfer co-efficient of Borosilicate glass Heat Exchanger equipment is comparatively favorable with many alternative materials because of its smooth surface which improves the thermal coefficient & reduce the tendency of fouling.

Heat Exchangers are available in 2 basics designs:

1. Conventional Coil Type Condensers heat exchangers.

2. Shell & Tube Type heat exchangers
