- Borosilicate glass construction
- Agitation capability
Agitated glass Nutsche filter for efficient solid-liquid separation processes.
The Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter (AGNF) Technical Package is a sealed glass filtration system designed for solid-liquid separation under vacuum or pressure. It allows washing, drying, and discharge of product within one vessel, minimizing manual handling and contamination. Goel’s system integrates an agitator with variable speed drive, filtration plate, sight glass, and jacketed body for controlled temperature operation, ideal for pilot and production-scale chemical processing.
• Design: single-vessel unit with agitator, filter plate, and discharge valve
• Operating mode: vacuum and/or pressure filtration
• Material: borosilicate glass 3.3, PTFE linings, corrosion-resistant structure
• Working volume: varies by configuration (typically 5 L – 200 L)
• Agitation: variable-speed motor with mechanical seal
• Heating/cooling: jacketed body for temperature control
• Filtration medium: sintered glass or PTFE filter plate
• Utilities: vacuum, nitrogen purge, heating fluid, drain systems
• Optional: automation, temperature & pressure sensors, and product recovery features
• Crystallization, filtration, and washing of solids in fine chemical production
• Pharmaceutical intermediate recovery under inert or vacuum conditions
• Handling of corrosive or moisture-sensitive compounds
• Closed-system drying and product discharge
• Pilot-plant filtration modules integrated with reactor trains
Its sealed, agitated configuration provides high safety and process hygiene compared to open filtration setups.
